What is the Blacklight Slide™?

Blacklight Slide™ is an incredible experience unlike any other. This night event, focused on UV Neon Glowing fun, brings you and your loved ones together for the best night of your lives! At the Blacklight Slide™, you get the chance to go down slides filled with Neon Glow-in-the-Dark water, assuring you and your friends that you will Get Glowed™! At this insanely fun event is a celebration with the best music from a live DJ.You’ll get to dance, play, and have the time of your life. When the Blacklight Slide™ is over and you’re glowing with excitement, we know for a fact that you’ll be counting down the days until the next one.

Can a friend pick up my packet?

Sure thing! Make sure your waiver was signed, then just give the designated picker-upper a copy of your registration receipt (the one with the scancode). Easy Peasy.

Also! If you’re in a Packet Pickup Group, anyone on the team can pick up all or some of the members packets. You can create or join a Packet Pickup Group by selecting the option during registration OR you can always create, join, or add members after registration. See the FAQ above.

*If you are unable to attend Packet Pickup on the day right before the event, it will be reserved for you on Event Day for a fee. There is a $5.00 fee per packet, per paid participant on Event Day, cash only. To avoid paying this fee, please attend Packet Pickup in person the day prior, or send a friend with a copy of your race barcode.

Can I transfer my entry to another event?

Registrations may be transferred to another event in the same series and tour year. Event transfers must be done online within at least 2 days of the event. See the FAQ regarding viewing and editing your registration above.

Can I transfer to another city/date?
1. Sign in to your Active account or click MYEVENTS in your confirmation email.

2. Select an event from the list displayed on your MYEVENTS page.

3. Click the “Change Event” button.

4. Select your NEW Event/Location and hit continue.

 
5. Scroll down the page and select your desired time if applicable.
 
6. Click Continue.

7. On the next page, make sure to complete participant’s information then accept the waiver and agreements, type your name in the electronic signature box.

8. Hit Continue.

9. Review and Enter your credit card information for the processing fee of $5.47.

10. Hit Complete, then you will receive a new confirmation email.
Do I need a tubes to slide?

You sure do! We require sliders have an inner tube (max size 36 inches) to ride down the slide due to safety reasons. But it’s for fun, too! With an inner tube, you travel down the slide faster, and everyone knows that fast = fun!

Tubes must be solo-rider. You are welcome to bring your own from home or purchase one at the event from the Blacklight Slide™ Store.

What should I wear?

Most participants will be wearing swimwear, but it’s not required! Any attire with the exception of jeans or items with rivets is welcome. Also, wearing shoes is in your best interest. We recommend water shoes or sandals that strap on. Shoes with the ability to puncture the slide, such as heels and cleats, are strictly prohibited.

And keep it classy — children will be present, and we are a family-friendly event. Please keep in mind that there is a chance the Glow Water will stain when choosing your outfit! Please keep in mind that there is not a place to change aside from your car.

How can I view/edit my registration information, team, packet pickup group, or purchase additional goodies?

You can do all the above directly from your user account by first following the two simple steps below:

  1. Go to your confirmation email & click “My Events” near the bottom
  2. Log-in to Active.com, and find your event

From there, you will see the options to:

  • View & Edit Registration
  • Purchase additional merchandise
  • Transfer to another event
  • Manage family and friends packet pickup
  • Create/join a team or manage your team

There may be additional options available depending upon selections made during the registration process such as inviting pre-paid team members or signing your waiver.

What else should I bring?

In addition to a fun attitude, big smile and high fives, we suggest bringing a waterproof pouch if you plan on using your phone or camera (or you can purchase one at the Blacklight Slide™ Store) a towel, and perhaps a change of clothes and shoes. We recommend bringing some swim goggles or glasses to cover your eyes if you are concerned with powder getting in–especially if you wear contacts! Also consider purchasing one of our super neat Blacklight Slide™ drawstring backpacks to tote your items in style! At most events, we will not have storage facilities on site, please plan to bring only what you can carry with into the event.

Registrations do NOT include an inner tube, but they are required. You may bring your own from home (max 36”, solo-rider) or purchase one at the event. This also does not include any purchased merchandise. This can be picked up at the race. Just jump ahead to the preorder line at our Blacklight Slide™ store and pick up your gear!

How can I transfer my registration to someone else?
1. Sign in to your Active account or click MYEVENTS in your confirmation email.

2. Select an event from the list displayed on your MYEVENTS page.

3. Click the “Transfer Registration” button.

4. Enter the email address for the “New Participant”. You will be responsible for paying the transfer fee of $5.47. The “New Participant” will be responsible for paying any new registration fee that applies. Once the new participant claims the registration, your old registration will be canceled and your entry fee will be refunded.


5. The new participant will receive a confirmation registration email from Active. 

6. In the confirmation email, “Click Claim” registration.

7. Fill out the registration form with the new participant’s information. 

8. Read and check the waivers/agreements carefully, then sign the waiver and click Continue

9. On the Checkout page, enter your credit card information and select continue to pay the new fee.

10. You will then receive a new confirmation email and receipt. 

Is this family friendly? What are the requirements?

Sliders must be at least 5 years of age and 42” tall. There are no weight limitations (please see Slide Accessibility below). Minors will need to have a waiver signed for them by a parent or legal guardian though! Keep in mind that lap-riding is not allowed under any circumstance.

Slide Accessibility?

All sliders must be able to personally walk up the single-file 40-foot-tall stairs on the slide. The slide is unfortunately not accessible to people in wheelchairs, strollers, on crutches, people with casts due to injury, or people with inner tubes too large for the width of the slide (max size 36 inches).

What is your refund policy?
We are a no refunds event! Therefore, please triple-check your calendar prior to signing up!
 
If you absolutely cannot attend anymore, you can transfer your entry to a friend or to a different location we host in the same calendar year anytime prior to 48 hours before your race (see our FAQ on how to transfer to another person/location). If neither option works for you, at least come to Packet Pickup to snatch your packet and say hello. We’d love to meet you!
 
Adverse weather: As stated in the waiver there are no refunds due to adverse weather. In the event that weather or other unforeseeable conditions are deemed by the event organizers and/or City Officials to be potentially hazardous to participants and staff, the organizers reserve the right to postpone the start time or cancel the event outright. Cancellation of the event may take place either prior to the start of the event or at any time while the event is taking place.
